In the summer of 2021, I was approached by Quinnolyn Benson-Yates to create graphics for a documentary she directed called Epic Bill. This film highlights Bill Bradley, a 60-year-old entrepreneur who embarks on various extreme endurance events, such as a cold-weather endurance race in Minnesota & climbing the highest peak in South America, after the failure of his movie store businesses.

|| POSTER DESIGN
My first task with the Epic Bill team was to create marketing posters for the film. I created several vector posters from scratch, with one being chosen for the final set of posters. I was also given photorealistic posters (created by Mikaela Pham) to place the title, tagline, & film credits on top of.
|| VFX MAPS
My main role with the Epic Bill team was to vectorize a series of maps for the film's visual effects (VFX) graphics. I painstakingly traced the contours & coastlines from topographic maps of northern Minnesota, Death Valley, Aconcagua, & the English Channel. These vector maps were then handed over to Josh Bevan, who placed these vectors on top of 3D height maps with shadows & light reflections. Small adjustments were made to better align the colorful vectors with the 3D terrain.
|| RED CARPET PREMIERE!
I had the privilege of attending the Epic Bill premiere on April 3, 2022 where I finally got to meet my collaborators & see my poster/VFX work in person!
